Very happy with these boots from Merrell. I even bought a second pair.
I usually take a 9.5 UK sizing but the size 10 UK was fine. I think
Merrell sizes tend to be a bit smaller than usual.
The vibram soles also should be hard waring with a decent grip.

It is an unbelievably comfortable pair shoes. Fitted like a glove straight out of the box. Very soft leather and cushioned inside. It is very smart looking and fasionable yet comfortable shoes. It would have got a straight 5* but for my concern as to how long the sole would last with my daily walk on the hard London pavements. Also I felt its UK9 is slightly shorter than the standard UK9 (Clarks/Jones).
Update 30/5/10: nearly five months and still going strong. Fantastic.

I decided to get the size 10 as Merrells are notoriously smaller sizes...alas these Apollos appear to be correctly sized. So the 10 is possible a tad too big. That said they are extremely comfortable and they look discrete and they are water proof. So if you need to go away but only want to pack one pair of shoes...these babies are the ones for the job.
