These are beautiful, 2 ply, high quality 100% Pashmina Shawls, very soft to touch, and warm for cold evenings. They are fully reversible and two tone, having a lighter tone and equally beautiful design on the reverse side. They have intricate paisley and floral patterns in the coloured main body of the shawl. These shawls have a hashia frame border along all four edges, with Kulka Botehs. They have a 4 inch, hand twisted gold fringe at each end. These shawls originate from Akhnur, near Jammu, which is a village in southern Kashmir and is famous for one of the finest ancient collections of terracotta heads, most of which are now held in the Chandigarh museum. This area is also the source of many artistic designs reflected in Pashmina shawls from Akhnur. The colour mixes and patterns in these shawls are stunning - absolutely gorgeous shawls!
