As a method of preparing leather vegetable tanning is a very natural, green and traditional alternative to the modern and common chemical based processes. Vegetable tanned leather is very hard wearing and will soften and age to a luxurious state. Marks and scratches will gradually wear out and vanish. Tony Perotti products start out feeling quite firm - almost hard - but quickly soften and improve with age.
